You Possessed My Mind

Image
A Beautiful Mystic Love Poem in Arabic :     You possessed my mind, my sight & my hearing My body, soul and all of me. And you bewildered me in the wonder of your beauty And I didn't know where to sail in the sea of love.   And you told me not to reveal your secret, yet the flowing of my tears did so. I tried till my patience came to its end and my strength failed me And I became restless and deprived of sleep.   It is really strange that I miss them I ask about them even when they are with me My eyes cry over them even if they live inside them (I see them wherever I look ) And I complain about the distance separating me from them Even if they live surrounded by my ribs (in my heart)   I have witnesses for my true love and pain that will support my claim, My sleepless nights, my longing, my depression and sadness My nostalgia, my suffering, and tears.   If they asked me for their love rights, I'm poor and

First Time Travelling Alone - India

Image
8 months ago I was getting my papers ready to travel abroad. I really wanted to take a break from many things back home. I decided to go to India. I arrived there on Jan 14. Since the first day there, I met new people who made me feel welcomed and at ease. I was welcomed with smiles and open arms by fellow youths who went there for different reasons. We shared pretty much the same hopes, dreams, worries and concerns. I enjoyed hanging out and exploring India with my new friends and neighbours. I got lost at least 4 times during my 6 weeks visit to India. I smiled, laughed so hard and cried. I shared a part of my heart with many kind souls I was blessed to meet. The first adventure I embarked on, was a day out with Chinese friends to visit Humayun's Tomb , a Mughal era tomb complex in Delhi .Afterwards, we went to an amazing book fair ♡ On the way to Humayun's Tomb The following week we went together to visit Agra. I was not dreaming I was really in front of the st

Hijrah- Immigration

Image
Today is the 1st day of the month of Muharram   Happy New Hijri year ♡  1438 AH  The Islamic Calendar is a lunar one and the first month of the Hijri year is called Al Muharram. The months start when the crescent is sighted in the sky :)  Hijri is from the Arabic work Hijrah هجرة  which means immigration commemorating the second mass Immigration of Muslims when they immigrated from Mekkah to Medina to escape persecution. Four and a half years after the death of Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him, his followers agreed on starting the Islamic calendar from the year of immigration.  1438 years ago religious freedom was not granted in the city of Mekkah and the followers of Islam were persecuted by their own families and the slaves who embraced the new faith were brutally tortured by their owners. The weak and the persecuted needed a way out. 13 years of preaching Islam didn't change the hearts of the tribes leaders and the persecution persisted so there was no other op

Poetic Interaction: Lyrics written by/ Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum interacting with an Arabic heritage poet/ Ibn Abd rabu Alandalusy Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Said: I adored a wincing beauty Her beauty shine like the full moon No one resembles her glamorous Her loveliness and coquette Overcame all the others’ If I ask for her acceptance She rejects & push me away I wish if she gave me chance welcoming me instead of refusing I am tortured out of her abandonment Complaining about the distance & ignorance My soul adores her Till I lost hope in loving her I have a story in her love Which became a lesson for others The Arabic Heritage Poet :(Ibn Abdrabbu Al Andalusy) said/ I gave her everything she asked for I accepted to be controlled by her wishing she could be fair with me I granted her my soul without knowing what she's done to it I put my heart in her hands will she keep it alive or kill it? My heart is always tiredly t

My Love for You, My Suffering And Myself

Image
During my visit to India earlier this year, whenever I missed home, I used to sing this old song in Arabic. English Translation : My love for you, my suffering And myself are living for one another. What will be the end with you? O you who has forgotten us. I kept the love oath, never betrayed nor forgot about its memories I hid my love and sung its song in my heart and adored its tunes And I decided to sing with you, O heartless You went away from me and left me suffering You confused my youth and the passion overpowered us I am patiently waiting for you but patience was not made for us What will be the end ? It's you that has forgotten us Those who are in love are unfortunate, whether they are patient or not, They are jealous of those who are free from worries Because love is puzzling and it confuses the hearts What does love have anything to do with me ?! Oh you whom I love, you confused my love I obeyed your heart while

The Magnificent India Part 1

Image
Arrived to India at 10 am on Thursday the 14th of  January Here are some pics from my trip on the way from Egypt to India and from my first two days in the country.                 Finally Made it to India!      Daman from AIESEC picked me up from the Airport. Then I met my first flatmate Bia from Brazil she gave me the wifi password so that I can connect with my family. then I met my other flatmates Juca, Felipe, Matt and Lucas. Juca showed me the way to the supermarket to buy anything I need.   At the first night there the EPs gathered at a nearby diner to say goodbye to our Australian housemate Chiu Wei who was going back home that night and there I had my first vegan burger it was so delicious and spicy so I needed tissues for my nose as usual. We had so much fun and took selfies with our lovely friend.   The Next day it was time for me to go to my workplace . My EP buddy came to the accomodations and showed my what way to go and h
