You Possessed My Mind

A Beautiful Mystic Love Poem in Arabic :

You possessed my mind, my sight & my hearing

My body, soul and all of me.

And you bewildered me in the wonder of your beauty

And I didn't know where to sail in the sea of love.

And you told me not to reveal your secret, yet the flowing of my tears did so.

I tried till my patience came to its end and my strength failed me

And I became restless and deprived of sleep.

It is really strange that I miss them

I ask about them even when they are with me

My eyes cry over them even if they live inside them (I see them wherever I look )

And I complain about the distance separating me from them

Even if they live surrounded by my ribs (in my heart)

I have witnesses for my true love and pain that will support my claim,

My sleepless nights, my longing, my depression and sadness

My nostalgia, my suffering, and tears.

If they asked me for their love rights,

I'm poor and helpless.

If they threw me in the prison of their cruelty,

I'll ask people to intercede for me for some mercy

It is really strange that I miss them

I ask about them even when they are with me

My eyes cry over them even if they live inside them (I see them wherever I look )

And I complain about the distance separating me from them

Even if they live surrounded by my ribs (in my heart)
