Oh bird travelling far away from me send my greetings to my beloved 

Oh bird my fate has rendered me in loss
I'm torn apart, can't be with my loved one
Neither can i be with my people

I'm puzzled should i forget about you or should i keep looking for you
Sometimes i miss my people & i miss you even more
I keep flying around maybe i could see you
To me you're like water if i'm thirsty my love


In my heart nostalgia flows like two rivers
I miss you like the sight miss the eyes
Your love is my cure & happiness
My love no matter how much you turn away from me you're still my beloved


Oh bird my fate has rendered me in loss

Without you i'm like a withering rose
Your face is my full moon when it's dark

The Chambers of My Heart - Al Mutanabbi

My translation does not do it justice :   Tell my dear beloved who lives in the chambers of my heart, That even if I don't meet him, I still meet him And that my sight is connected to seeing him... Even if our dwellings are far away from one another I hope he realizes that I don't remember him As how can I remember him if I can't forget him in the first place?
