Muhammad Son of Abdullah ................ the Human Being

He was not a king, nor was he an emperor .

He was a humble human being that would take the torn shoes of the poor people & fix  them for them. He would sit down & eat with servants, he would accept the invitation even if it was from the poorest person on earth .

One day the Prophet stood up as a funeral procession passed. A companion said that the funeral was for a non-Muslim and that the dead person was a Jew. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) informed those there that death should be contemplated, that regardless of who the dead person was he was still a human being and that it was necessary to show respect.

This is one of Prophet Muhammad's acts of behavior that has no equal in history. For there is no other example of a prophet of one religion standing up out of respect for the funeral of someone not of his religion just because that person was a human being, as he respected the human beings regardless of their beliefs .

If he was prostrating in prayer & his baby grandson climbed on his back & and sat on it as if he is riding on it, he would wait for him to get off  his back before getting up himself.

If he lead people in  prayer & heard a baby crying he would hurry up to finish the prayer sooner  on the behalf of the baby & his mother .

If children cry while their parents are praying, their parents would pick them up to calm them down, they would pray while holding the babies inspired by the love & mercy the prophet PBUH had for children .

Those are only some examples among thousands of examples in his life that can teach us the value & sacredness o the human life & also the value of any other form of life .

The sacredness of human life is something not to be underestimated .

He respected every form of life, he respected the quality of life & so did his companions .

We all know the value the Quran gives to man and his life.

How vast and profound is the meaning of the universal revelation, "Killing one man unjustly is like killing all of mankind; giving life to one person is like giving life to all people.

So for me to read an article & see the word "SHRINE " used to describe his grave was odd to me, as he was buried in dust like any other ordinary Muslim :)  so to call the dust he & his two close comapanions Abu Bakr & Omar may Allah be pleased  with them  burried into a  " Shrine  " seemed really really strange.

If Abu bakr & Omar ibn  Al Khattab were among us today they would be surprised how can a Muslim be against more development & expansions made to mosques to be able to  accomdate more worshippers!! .
Let's not forget that the very first expansions of the mosque happened at the time of the companions :)
Abu Bakr said after the prpohet's death to calm the people down, when they were in a state of shock & denial quoting a verse from the Quran :
"To proceed, if anyone amongst you used to worship Muhammad, then Muhammad has passed away, but if (anyone of) you used to worship Allah, then Allah is Alive and shall never die. Allah said,"Muhammad  is  not  but  a  messenger.  [Other]  messengers  have  passed  on  before  him. So  if  he  was  to  die  or  be  killed,  would  you  turn  back  on  your  heels  [to  unbelief]?  And he  who  turns  back  on  his  heels  will  never  harm Allah at  all;  but Allah will  reward  the grateful. "

It was Abu Bakr who said  after elections  After assuming the office of Caliphate Abu Bakr's first address was as follow:
"I have been given the authority over you, and I am not the best of you. If I do well, help me; and if I do wrong, set me right. Sincere regard for truth is loyalty and disregard for truth is treachery. The weak amongst you shall be strong with me until I have secured his rights, if God wills; and the strong amongst you shall be weak with me until I have wrested from him the rights of others, if God wills. Obey me so long as I obey God and His Messenger. But if I disobey God and His Messenger, ye owe me no obedience. Arise for your prayer, God have mercy upon you."

& it was also Abu Bakr who reaffirmed the decision of the Prophet and dispatched an expedition under a young Muslim aged 16-18 yrs old  that young man was a commander over an army that contained soldiers aged up to 50 years old & maybe even older than that,  that tells us alot about the perspective  of islam  regarding  the youths  :) .
Omar Ibn Al-Khattab once said

If a mule slipped in Iraq, I would be held accountable for not paving the way for it”.

Those Islamic figures were so open minded  & understood the true spirit of Islam :)  so please think of us the youths, think of more genrations & generations to come  :)  & yet some Muslims are against more development  !!!!! how come ? !!
When you find an article that is against more expansion that the 2 great mosques of Mecca  & Madinah !!!!  that's strange  !!
So how can any one demolish an underground grave  I don't understand how newspapers can be so naive sometimes writting about things that their reporters don't understand  !!!!!! ???? are  the stone & concrete used to bulid walls in the mosque sacred, is the dome over the grave of the beloved messenger that was built by the mamluks ( added to the grave  800 years later ) sacred  ???!!!!! i do not think so .
Why on Earth are people freaking out about more expansions added to the Prophet's mosque .

To see some people talking about the preservation the Ottman part of the grand mosque in Mecca & being against further expansion I really would like them to think about those Muslims who pray outside the mosque cause it's so crowded & full of people, Those elderly people, the Cardiac patients if one of them got sick cause of the hot weather outside the mosque would that be an acceptable sacrifice to preserve the stones used to build the Ottman part of the old mosque ?
Which one is Holier ?!
The stones or the human life ?!
I really hope those people would show mercy to the weak muslims who simply can't tolerate the immense heat & the blazing sun cause of health issues .

Even if they’re not on medications, older people just need to take precautions in the heat.
If you’re older than 50 he/she might not be aware that he/she is thirsty & those people need to be hydrated they simply need a cool space & water around them which CAN BE FOUND EASILY INSIDE THE MOSQUE :)

Here are some of Symptoms of heat exhaustion?
  • headaches
  • heavy sweating
  • cold, moist skin, chills
  • dizziness or fainting (syncope
  • a weak and rapid pulse
  • muscle cramps
  • fast, shallow breathing
  • nausea, vomiting or both

And Symptoms of heat stroke :
  • warm, dry skin with no sweating
  • strong and rapid pulse
  • confusion and/or unconsciousness
  • high fever
  • throbbing headaches
  • nausea, vomiting or both

For the love of God we all need to think about them, those who  might suffer such problems & remember the saying of the Prophet who was sent as a mercy to mankind when he said
“Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to people.”

The Prophet Muhammad (s) said: “Be kind, for whenever kindness becomes part of something, it beautifies it. Whenever it is taken from something, it leaves it tarnished.

Imam Bukhari’s Book of Muslim Manners.

Abd Allah ibn `Amr ibn al-`As (Allah be well pleased with him) that he said:

“I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) performing tawaf around the Holy Ka`ba saying to it: ‘how pure and good you are! how pure and good your fragrance is! how great and exalted you are! and how great and exalted your sanctity is! But by Him in Whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, the sanctity of a believer’s blood and property in the sight of Allah is greater than your sanctity!’“
In the Targhib wa’ l-Tarhib of Imam al-Mundhiri, 3/276 it has the following hadith

Think about the life & the quality of life of people who are more precious in the sight of God than his own sacred mosque the holiest place on Earth, we need to reflect on this .

This narrow way of thinking  that some of us have is considered to be an insult for the  open minded true teachings of the prophet PBUH , he taught us to know & respect our history, live our present & hope for the future .
The mosques that we see today look nothing like the ones built more then 1400 years ago let's take the prophet's mosque in Madinah as an example, it had no minarets & no domes , those new parts of the building are pure architectural things to enhance the quality of the place so if it needs to undergo some more expansions & innovations so that the worshippers will have more  room to pray comfortably , so be it & the same applies to the grand mosque in Mecca :)

Here is a description of the mosque of the prophet PBUH :
The original mosque was built by Muhammad and his companions next to the house where he settled after his journey to Medina in 622 CE. The original mosque was an open-air building (covered by palm fronds) with a raised platform for the reading of the Quran. It was a rectangular enclosure of 30 m × 35 m (98 ft × 115 ft) at a height of 2 m (6 ft 7 in) wall which was built with palm trunks and mud walls. It was accessed through three doors: Bab Rahmah (Door of Mercy) to the south, Bab Jibril (Door of Gabriel) to the west and Bab al-Nisa' (Door of the Women) to the east.
The basic plan of the building has since been adopted in the building of most mosques throughout the world.
Inside, Muhammad created a shaded area to the south called the suffah and aligned the prayer space facing north towards Jerusalem. When the qibla (prayer direction) was changed to face the Kaaba in Mecca, the mosque was re-oriented to the south. The mosque also served as a community center, a court, and a religious school.
Seven years later (629 AD/7 AH), the mosque was doubled in size to accommodate the increasing number of Muslims. The area of the mosque was enlarged by 20 m × 15 m (66 ft × 49 ft) and became almost a square 50 m × 49.5 m (160 ft × 162.4 ft). The height increased to became 3.5 m (11 ft) and the mosque encompassed 35 columns.
The mosque remained like that during the caliphate of Abu Bakr until the caliphate of 'Umar bin al-Khattab, who enlarged the area of the mosque to 3575 m2 and built more wooden columns .
During the Uthman ibn Affan an arcade of stone and plaster was added to he mosque and the columns were remolded and built of stone. :)

If Islam were that strict as some people like to think, it wouldn't  have survived & inspire those amazing architectures we see all over the world :)

If people can be outraged because of a silly video made about our beloved prophet PBUH &  criticise expanding the mosques cause they would be so new & contemporary for them & not get outraged for their brothers & sisters who get  killed in Palestine, Syria & Myanmar then, for sure there is seriously something wrong with their way of thinking .

We should not deal with our prophet as an idol & with his city & his birthplace as an excavation site to be preserved by turning a blind eye to  the  needs of a growing Muslim population that  is constantly increasing in number  .
The early Muslims didn't think that way & we should follow ther footsteps .

Islam is about freedom, dignity & quality of life :)  it's Youthful , full of  life & full of hope :)))

May peace be upon the orphan child that changed the face of the world  Prophet  Muhammad PBUH
I pray to God that he would guide us to the true spirit of Islam that changed the world .

Allah loves, when one of you is doing something, that he [or she] does it in the most excellent manner.——— Muhammad (p) cited in Al-Qaradawi, Yusuf, Dawr Al-Qiyam Wal-Akhlaaq Fi Al-Iqtisaad Al-Islaami. Maktabat Wahbah, 1995.
